CM Nursing integrates intelligent payroll

CM Nursing, a recruitment company for the medical industry, has installed the nuQ intelligent payroll software solution to integrate payroll functions across the company and enable it to put all its payroll systems in use on to one integrated platform, resulting in a customised program to facilitate correct data outputs across different hospitals.

A licence from nuQ has been supplied, entitling CM Nursing to pay up to 200 employees, who can be employed at any hospital.  Capturing was customised for the different hospitals and employees to be able to capture data daily per hospital, per unit, per shift, per job category, with different pay rates.
According to CM Nursing owner Martinette Botes her company was faced with many challenges with regard to payroll, including timesheets for the different hospitals and employees, daily bank transfers and payments, and controls in order to track errors and referral systems.
"After evaluating six other payroll service providers we decided to use nuQ as they showed more knowledge about what we required than any of the other companies," she says. "A major benefit of the nuQ solution is that as well as being easy to use it enables correct daily reporting, and the payslips are easy to read and understand."
She adds that the nuQ payroll software is flexible in all respects. "nuQ is a legally compliant payroll administration tool that facilitates reduced administration costs and a complete audit trail, plus control over payroll expenses, all backed up with excellent support, dedication and commitment."
Botes continues that the customisable ability of nuQ's functions was also a major factor in choosing nuQ over other payroll software. "We needed functionality that was specifically relevant to our business, such as the ability to customise the capturing for the different hospitals and employees in order to capture daily per hospital, per unit, per shift, per job category as per CM Nursing's organisational responsibilities."
She says that aligned to this was the provision of daily record keeping, daily reports and payslips, an export function and SARS / UIF reports. Bank transfers and payments are made daily to the employees and a referral system has been implemented in order to track the captured data per hospital and employee.
"Our decision to implement the nuQ payroll solution rather than any other solution was based on the fact that we received customisation in order to fit our company's needs, and we are able to identify mistakes before payroll ensues," she adds. "In addition we were impressed by the quick implementation which took less than two weeks and the  dedication and commitment from all the staff involved. It was for these reasons that we switched from using Pastel to nuQ and thus far it has been a dream come true."
Ron Warren, payroll expert and NuQ chairman, says that nuQ offers employers an efficient, cost-effective and legally compliant payroll administration tool with a low implementation cost.
"All statutory requirements have been incorporated and the system covers mandatory, as well as non mandatory SARS requirements," he adds.
In addition to its web-based feature, innovative technology has been incorporated into nuQ including thin-client technology with backend stability, and sophisticated disaster prevention and recovery features.
