ProScan, HipVoice up the bar on push to talk technology | Print |  E-mail

ProScan Enterprise Mobility has introduced HipVoice's push to talk (PTT) technology.

HipVoice PTT technology allows users to benefit from 'always on' communications, that leverages the mobile device for primary tasks. All that is required is to push a button and communicate instantly with co-workers, with no need to dial any numbers, connected 1:1 or 1:many.
The technology is designed to maximise mobile worker uptime and on-the-route service capabilities, extending existing mobile platforms and facilitating total communication at a low cost.
HipVoice supports Windows Mobile, XP, Blackberry and is the only PPT service that can work between multiple cellular networks.
MD of the ProScan Group, Andrew Fosbrook said, “Voice technologies are making the mobility space very exciting, very fast. With proven technology and effective results, it is not hard to see why customers are keen to be a part of the push to talk revolution.
“Core business functions, such as proof-of-delivery (POD), field service and sales automation can be extended to include voice communication using HipVoice technology."
ProScan Enterprise Mobility will host and manage a local server farm with the rollout of the HipVoice technology to take place in the first quarter of 2010.
